Ofangel Supreme Justice was walking the first ring of the Sphere, where the civilian angles live, when she came across something peculiar. Due to her presence the angels were in celebration, the roads where congested with feathers and happy faces. Movement was all around, not that Supreme Justice could see this; Justice is blind. In all the movement and sound it was easy to find the one place that was still and quiet. Supreme Justice walked towards the still area hearing that there was a little girl there. She could tell by the girl's breathing, and she could the beating of a broken heart. The little girl was holding something, Supreme Justice found as she came closer. That something was a young angel as well. Supreme Justice could tell the children were hungry and close to dissipating so she went up to the older girl and knelt before her. Supreme Justice could smell the filth all over the children as well, "What's the matter?" Supreme Justice asked.
"My parents they won't wake up. I tried to tell the others but they wouldn't help me," the girl choked out.
"Where are they?"
"They are still in bed not moving," the girl said, "Back at home."
"Take me there," Supreme Justice told her. The girl picked herself up and walked down the alley towards a secondary street. Supreme Justice had a feeling of what was wrong but severely hopped that it wasn't true. Justice followed the girl's footsteps for a good few minutes. She stepped so softly that a few times Supreme Justice had to click to find her, by clicking she could hear the sound waves bounce off of the girl and know where she was. The girl came to a stop and opened up a door. She held it open for Supreme Justice whom didn't even need to enter the house to know what was wrong.
Supreme Justice led herself to the room of the parents. It was the worst. They were dissipated. Their energies couldn't keep with a physical form anymore and they were now trapped in their bodies until judged. Supreme Justice knelt beside the bed and bowed her head. The girl watched this with hopeless anticipation.
The girl watched the Ofangel stand back up and pluck two feathers from her gold wings. As she suspended them above the bodies they turned pure white. Then she stabbed the feather into the middle of their backs, right between their wings. The bodies then grew bright and turned into gold dust that took off out the window.
Supreme Justice judged them as good souls. There are never orphan angels; the angles close to dissipating don't have children out of fear of leaving them orphaned. Supreme Justice couldn't remember her parents for she had been raised by the Justice before her. That's when it came to her. This little girl will be her apprentice and she will raise her as her own. The little girl's sibling would go to Supreme Justice's sister Ultimate Truth and will be raised like they had been. Supreme Justice's only worry was that Ultimate Truth's beloved, Death, already had an apprentice. The little girl had begun to cough and Supreme Justice could hear her stomach snarl.
"Come here, darling," Supreme Justice kneeled down with her arms open, "You're coming home with me."
The girl happily nestled into her chest. She wished she could have wrapped her arms around Supreme Justice but she was still holding her sister. She was swiftly scoped up and carried outside. The girl didn't need to be told what had happened to her parents she knew wherever their energy went they were happy.
Supreme Justice took the children to the fourth ring of the sphere, which is where the Ofangels lived, and brought the little girl's sister to Ultimate Truth. UT opened the door and took the youngest in her arms most lovingly. It wasn't an issue that Death already had an apprentice in fact John was tickled to have a little sister. Supreme Justice left them to it and went off to her own house. There her beloved Ofdemon, Unjust, was waiting for her.
"What's her name?" He asked taking the girl form Supreme Justice's arms and cradling her in his own. The girl opened her mouth to tell the kind demon her name but Supreme Justice touched her forehead and said, "Forget."
"Why did you do that!?" Unjust asked.
"The name given to her there will never be uttered again. She no longer belongs to that clan she belongs to me and you," Supreme Justice said.
Unjust looked at the girl and smiled, "I'll name you after my demon mother who was part dragon. Ember, that will be your true name. I know you'll take on many names but no matter what name you go by in the future you'll never have a truer one than that."
"One day one of the names you go by will be Justice," Supreme Justice said walking out the door.
"Where are you going?" Asked Unjust.
"There's a clan that has tarnished the Justice name that needs dealing with. I won't be long," and with a smile Supreme Justice was out the door.
